I recently purchased a game from the Playstation Store called 'Dead Nation'. I saw some YouTube clips to make sure this was the sort of game I thought it was. I purchased a game called 'Burn, Zombie Burn' but it was not satisfactory. Does this game fare better?

Short answer: Yes. Long Answer: This game is almost perfect.

Overview

The story is your typical Zombie Apocalypse scenario. You have Two Survivors, Jack McReady and Scarlett Blake. (I chose Scarlett 'cos she has bewbz).

The gameplay is very straight forward. You use the Left analog stick to move, the Right stick to aim, the R1 - 3 Buttons Fire, Melee attack and Reload depending on what you push. The L1 and L2 buttons throw your equipped item (such as a grenade) and the L2 button dashes. While dashing, you are invulnerbale untill your character stops, so it's a good desperation move when surrounded the by horde. The directional pad chooses your items and Guns.

The camera angle works rather good as well. It's a birds eye view of the player, so the layout of the game is Two Dimensional.

The game is also Online Compatible. In fact, you can't play it without Internet. So you can play Co-Op with a buddy, or connect to someone elses PS3. I have has no problems yet concerning online play.

What this game lacks that it needs are a few things. The gameplay is limited to just Player vs Environment. You can also only play it with one other person, which I think it's kinda lame. Left 4 Dead had you pitted with 3 others, and I frankly enjoy the company. The game is also quite shallow. You can -only- play the campaign, either online or offline.

Verdict

The gameplay is fun, smooth, and addictuing. Essentially the equivalent of Left 4 Dead but with less people. The drawbacks are shallow gameplay and that you can only play as one of two survivors. It's well worth checking out, and i'd be happen to play with whoever owns this game.
