Lord Ryn'ja

Not everything can be planned and we of course understand the necessity to keep it well guarded and safe. The Grand Mage will have the Akh'Faern aid to keep it under control. I'm glad to see your journey was successful, congratulations Head Master-Heirs of the Windsong Tower, for retrieve this legacy of past.

"To whoever is in charge of this things,

according to my information the elven woman by the name of Aelyria has been captured by the Zhentarim, I have yet to determine if that is true but it most likely is. Weavemaster Jack Maybe approached me earlier and told me that she would exchange her for me.
I would gladly give myself away as payment for her freedom, I am more than capable to withstand the pain of enslavement, whatever it takes to see her free once again.
She needs your help to be free and I need your help to see that she's free once again.

Debate whatever you want, ask whoever you want, but please, don't let her be tortured by Zhentarim not one day more than needed, I repeat myself, I am more than happy to turn myself in if that saves her sorry ass.
The only condition I would ask is that you tell her "I told you not to go alone, Violet"
Please, consider this, hate me for my past actions if you want but don't make her pay the price of my choices for it would be most unfair.

Mark Lametz"

Respected Keeper,

Given the recent unsettling news from your High Mage, and the seeming likelihood of another attempt to abduct eight poor souls from among our vulnerable number via a method still unknown to us, I would like to request temporary sanctuary in Myth Drannor for all civilians of our Farms and Settlement, until such time as this crisis can be resolved. We will accept whatever accommodations you may be able to provide.

With Gratitude,

Respected Keeper,

I have received your letter regarding Mark Lamentz and have discussed the matter with Garren. I have confirmed with Garren that Mark's claim regarding his business with the Zhents is indeed correct. Garren does have reservations about Mark's presence on the farm, but they have to do with decorum, respect, and civility, not with safety or security.

I can personally attest to Mark's decency and the goodness of his heart, as can Leo Lyon, if he is asked. If Mark promises to keep a civil tongue in his head, I would see no reason not to allow him on the Farms and Settlement. If he broke that promise, his removal would be swift and permanent.

Keeping this in mind, I have a more immediate request. Mark's aid against the current threat to the farms could prove invaluable, and could perhaps prove to us all that he is worthwhile. I will personally pay his fine if you will allow him to proceed under escort from the Docks to the Settlement and back for the duration of this crisis.

I eagerly await your prompt decision.

A Letter would arrive via the message spell, at first it appearing as a bird made from folded paper, skillfully darting between the threes as it fly on the warm forest winds, and finally landing at a gaurds feet, on the envilope were three simple words in elven

Keepers, Eyes Only.

Written in Elven & resent every week.

The Letter wrote:
"Dear Keeper and the Council of Myth Drannor,

I hope as with my other letters, this letter finds you.

I ask again, may I please be permitted to borrow a number of your books in regards to the Crown Wars, I am as I mentioned more than willing to return the favor and lend to you the Ilythiiri account of the War should any fellow Lore inclined minds wish to browse it.

As Mentioned before, your assistance in this research of the People, all of us, will be a boon to all, and working togeather we shall be a step closer to rediscovering the cold factual truth of the past, and also all of the forgotten secrets, relics that are came across on the way.

I hope to be able to work aside other open minded Kin, and any who do shall be given full accsess to any findings, and of course all relics of their clan will be returned to them after study.

I do hope this later reachs you, and if not the next letter I send in a weeks time...

Yours

Spiral

M'lady Coronal,

I have started talking to engineers already and order the construction materials and since the engineers are needed else where I released them as I didn't agree with their plans they drew up anyways and need to think on my ideas for a tower some more..

I realized I have not even asked you for permission yet to build one for the heirs of windsong tower.. for this I must apologize. I had gotten excited and forgot the most important thing was your blessing to do so..

I would like to build it in the ruins just past the temple of selderine but still with in the mythals protection..

if you would rather I rebuild a tower that is there already I can do this as well.. any suggestions you may have as to which to look at is welcomed and I would take the keeper and a few others to form and exploratory excursion into this area and possibly that one engineer that recently came here.. his name eludes me at this time..

I Lord Ryn'ja humbly ask your forgiveness for my haste in acting before asking.. you are free to punish me how ever you see fit it is deserved..

my sincerest apologies m'lady,

Lord Ryn'ja Cathlemet

m'lady,

I am personaly writing you as I survey the after math of the battle.. we know have the ability at the tower to make a few things that may help our defence. I know they can help even if nothing but to draw attention away from our kin.. we are currently studying still another version of such and it should prove useful if we can manage to get it to work for us and maybe even duplicate it for the cities use.

it may sound stupid but I have seen it in use before as guards and patrolling as such enough to warrant atleast a few test version to see..

the cost isn't cheap as well but I would offer you the cheapest price I can.. as I do not have all the things required yet to donate to make test versions to try out..

also with the refugees I am concerned at how they will view such with in the city and I am trying to understand but to me the use of what we can create far out ways what uncomfortableness they may feel.

I suppose we could post them just outside at the entrances and exits from the city and in the ruins as well.

I would like to seek your guidance on this..

M'lady,

I ran into an elf in shadow dale recently her name was shadow something.. she claims to be a wild elf and her tribe was masaquered she alone is the sole survivor..

she said she had visited myth drannor before but was soon ran out as her skin is as dark as a drow and her hair is similar in color..

she wishes to be around more elves but is also afraid of returning with out her safety secured..

upon seeing her the first time I also thought she was a drow and was slowly backing away as we were in shadow dale at the time..

from what I gathered she seems to be disgusted by even speaking of drow.. but again I am unsure as I know wild elves often have darker skin then most others but I have never myself seen one this dark..

I ask for your council on this and if you know of such things though they may be rare..

I would ask you to meet with her but I my self do not know for sure and quite frankly at this time I have no reason to trust her.. as such I would not want to put you in harms way either incase it is a trick..

so I ask you m'lady what would you like me to do about this situation.. and what would be the best way to find out for sure if she is what she claims to be?

Sincerely,

Lord Ryn'ja Cathlemet

PostSubject: To the High Mage of Evermeet   Mon Mar 17, 2014 9:22 am

The letter is neatly written in elven language, on a high quality paper.

Revered High Mage,

I am writing this letter to kindly ask for access to the knowledge gathered in the vast libraries of Myth Drannor. I have travelled a long way to be here, in the great elven city of magic. As a mage an scholar, I am deeply interested in the magic of Mythals - how they function, how they change the flow of magic, how are they woven and how can they be corrupted or destroyed. The Mythal of Myth Drannor is, as we all know, one of the very first Mythals created on Toril, and also one of the most powerful. Studying its history and the details of its rise and corruption would give me a great insight and allow me to widen the understanding of Mythals in our academy.

I hope it would be a very good start towards my further investigations in the Anauroch Desert. As we know, the Phaerimm caused the lands of the former Netherese Empire to wither, turning them into the wasteland we know today. I believe such a powerful magical effect could have been achieved through the use of mythal-like magic and I wish to verify this hypothesis.

I hope my requests are not too bold and are not violating or endangering any laws or national interests of Myth Drannor. I would most appreciate all and any help from elven scholars in my investigations, in fact I think a cooperation between me and elves interested in the topic could only result in greater achievements in this noble task of uncovering ancient knowledge.

Sincerely
Veldym Daumaraster

As the letter was directed to the Grand Mage that has a much occupied agenda, and the courrier didn't mind to give any details about it, and clearly isn't a personal one, the Keeper decides to intercept and check its contents, as he not unusually does in such cases.

*gasp* - By the seldarine grace, I can't believe what I'm reading, I wonder if the next ones will ask how to kill several elves with more efficience or what is necessary to shape Cormanthor in a new Anauroch. *sigh* Hmph, anyway this may be just a misscomunication, I wonder if he has interest in mithalars or mythals, well, maybe the Grand Mage has a word in this, or maybe not, I'll let to the conciul apreciation, and if we have merely a really great communication mistake, than the Windsong Tower can possibly have word in this, I'm sure Lord Cathelemet has much words in this matter...

Karovir sends a letter to Nadin, the council and the Coronal:

Quote :
Dear leaders of Myth Drannor,

You may have heard of it by Blue Mage or Valtore already. Shadowdale suffers from a special kind of plague which can easily spread to Myth Drannor if it hasn't already. It is suspected that a large part of Shadowdale's inhabitants are affected already.
Taeron has found out a divination spell which can help to detect who is affected by this plague and who is not. He taught me and a few others the spell. I come to Myth Drannor now to teach the spell to anyone who is unaffected.
To fight this plague we need to teach this spell to as many people as possible. Therefore I ask you to send wizards and priests to me so I can teach them the spell and they can teach others. It would be good if Nadin and Blue Mage could be two of those wizards.
I also have to ask you to not tell anyone else of the spell unless you know for sure that they are not affected and can be trusted. So please keep this letter a secret.

-Karovir
