| Okay, now I'm not talking about "this is something the vendor has a low set price for, but really could get a lot of money because it's hard to find and useful"
But I've seen a lot of incidents of items going on the auction house for crazy prices. Scrolls... are hit and miss, since they're useful. Items of spell resistance, though? I think I said in another thread, this is something that looks like people are trying to do to sucker newbies, selling broken items for high prices. Especially now that I'm seeing the single player enchanting books (the ones telling the enchanting processes for the single player game that don't work in our game) on the auction house for thousands, and even blank bone wands, the kind you get for a few gold at vendors, selling for thousands (if there is actually a place where these are rare, someone can please correct me here, but if you're going to try to gouge the people who can't get at them, do it off the auction house, IMHO. Somewhere, there's a new player who's going to think that they actually NEED to buy it).
Now... This might be ignorance. SO I'd like to ask people that if you see something like this on there by someone you know, please tell them that A) the item is useless and not worth what they're asking, even though it deceptively looks useful, and B) to not put it up there. They can buy it back from themselves to take it off the auction, then collect the gold right back from the auctioneer.
If you ARE intentionally putting things up there to sucker people into giving you money for something useless... well, frankly, that's just mean. So I hope no one is actually doing this. |

| I seen this too and it just make me go . Even a few usefull item have so high price i feel like i was sitting and playing WoW and tried to get a consumeable item ment for crafting. This feeling more hit through when i see a useless item there with a price of a half castle. |

| I can agree with this. From my perspective, the auction house is a way for all players to benefit. For example, if a player finds a +1 longsword, the merchant will only buy it for 500ish gp. Then the merchant will sell it for about 2300 gp. If a player finds a +1 longsword and auctions it off for say 1800 gp, both the seller and the buyer are getting a good price. As players, let’s be friendly to one another so that we may feel comfortable enough to let loose and have fun. *DBTheMask opens his arms, ready to recieve a friendly hug*

| I don't do this since I have enough money for the nothing I use on my cleric. But in other online video games where you wanted to transfer money without muling it over, the broke character would put something on the auction house for an outlandish price and the rich toon would buy it. _________________ Gaussafae Melarn - Yath'tallar of Lolth Breaktusk Oakheart - Wandering Researcher, Companion of Pig

| But... but... we all know anything Paws writes is useless... but where would he sell his books!?
((Someone enjoyed one so much, that they INTENTIONALLY bought it! Paws is so proud!)) |

| Yeah, I saw that and I wasn't really meaning that, since that's something you actually created, and that ISN'T apparently an in-game useful item. People wanna buy a book you wrote, power to ya. |

| I would love to see Spell resistance items changed for something else. I do think players maybe suckered into it as not everyone knows they are broken. Its things like the battle robe that gets me +2 spellcraft and concentration and 10 SR going for 8000. I'm sure if it weren't for the SR nobody would think it would be worth it. Other stuff is as they say hit or miss but SR, well you should be ashamed |

| Robes and armor cannot be unequipped and requipped in combat but something like the Shimmering Sash is useful as one can put it on the hot bar and requip it as necessary to maintain SR. |
