Hork continues his charge with the intent of pinning the Mage to the ground, and keeping it alive is low priority but considered.

*0*  The portal begins closing !

The massive Hork body slams the mage to the dirt !

Mark enters the portal almost along side the scout with the remnants of the bag.
( From here. we will have separate post threads for Mark and Hork. )

As the portal stutters a moment and vanishes, Hork stands over the drow mage, who is stunned on the ground.  The sounds of birds chirping in the trees can be heard just over the gentle rush of the river nearby. A slight breeze rustles the leaves as the sun shines its golden rays, dancing on the ground as the limbs above gently bend to and fro.

A yellowish streak of powder lays among ashes on the ground where the bag was struck by acid. Where the portal was, the grass is not even disturbed.  In fact, the forest is as if nothing had happened at all.

Exept then, not too far from where the portal once stood, now the shape of that little Shadow puppet appeared just like it did before the Drow attack. yet this time it did not walk on a branch far away and out of reach, but rather close. Close to where Hork could see it.

As Sunrays pass, so does the shadow puppet fade away from sight a moment. When mist and shadow envelop the patch of grass and the stone of which the Illusion of shadow stood, so would it appear very vibrant and real to the eye. Against the background of the Dark forest edge it became so sharp to see, that the tiny masks that were spinning around the Shadow Puppet even appeared to have their own facial emotion.

While it just stood there, the Shadow puppet seemed to look at Hork, even though it's own mask had no eyes, or nose or mouth represented. This puppet was one without a face, without a mask with any details. It was a stare of an empty hollow that unfolded in the shade of Mists and Shadow.

Hork will kneel on the mage and place his axe at his throat between the spike and the blade. Just enough to let it breath. Once he has the mage under control he will look around. Seeing the shadow thing, "Who are you?" He will keep glancing at the mage.

A voice resounds. Yet strangely not coming from the Shadow puppet standing there on the small stone in the middle of the Grassy hill. No, this voice came from the mists between the Wooden pillars of the trees, whispering slow and hollow across the Labyrinths of thorn and leaf all around the trees.

"I am the watcher that sees what has transpired. And the voice that offers help, should you seek any."

And although the voice whispered the words, the spinning masks around the shadow puppet figure were moving their mouths as if they were speaking. But it were not them that spoke. Yet they represented the voice from the Mists of the forest.

Hork growls at the mage and increases pressure for a moment. "This Darkie may have smart stuff for Softies and Squishies." Growls "Where should I take it for faster thinking people?"

The mage clearly sees the futility of struggling against the huge powerful half orc, with a axe pinning his neck to the ground.   The mage lays still, yet his eyes do not show fear, but a cold cunning as if a snake waiting for its chance to strike.

Step by step like the rising tide along the coast, little Shadow puppet approaches closer to Hork and the downed Drow mage. As the figure of shadow and mist draws closer, it becomes more detailed to the eye; and so the Spining Masks around the figure.

Faces painted on these spinning masks vary little and look quite angerly towards the Drow mage.

"What is it you seek here?
Silence not, or be silenced.
Explain your plans, explain your intent.
Speak, but fight not the Man big and strong who subdued you."

These were the words all the spinnning masks seemed to say to the Drow mage, as Little Shadow puppet approached him and Hork. But surely these tiny masks could not speak, like a normal being does. The voice must have come from the Forest edge, there well hidden away in the darkness of Mist and Shadow, where an unseen hand held the threads of this small, but intriguing Shadow Puppet.

Somewhere at least, hidden away in the Darkness.
Surrounded by Mist and Shadow.

"Well at least we know its an Army involved." Looks to the Shadow puppet for any ideas. Gets up and removes his axe. Acting like he's standing up and releasing the mage. Then he swings his axe cutting the mages left leg in half.

From a small distance to Hork, Little Shadow puppet just stands there, tilting it's darkened head with a faceless mask ever so slightly, awaiting any responce from the Drow mage. One of the spinning masks seems troubled somehow, as if disturbed at the sight of Violence.

Perhaps it was the wind that blew through the grass oddly; but somehow it almost felt as if with disapointed sigh the words were uttered: "Regretable are the deeds of anger, yet let us hear your reasoning now Te'darr.."

The drows best and most honest response to the questions currently posed is :

"AAAAAAAAAaaaaahhhh AAAAAAAAAAAAaaaahhh !! "

Hork lets out a sigh and ends the mages life. Looks to the shadow "well who are you?"
