I probably speak for quite many other people out here but I've noticed this annoying habbit of some people selling utter trash to the auction tables.
What I mean with utter trash is things like malfunctional wands (the ones with no abilities imbedded in them), regular clothes, arrows that have reduced weight, etc, etc.

The auction tables are already really crowded with lots of new things added in there on daily basis and it's truly frustrating to go through things like that which are obviously put there to fool someone to buy them or to get some gold from items that can't be sold to the merchants.
There are exceptions of course, for instance the HP boosting items that are bugged of their regular value, but there is an obvious use for them.

I'm not a DM but I'm pretty sure this is not the purpose of the auction, there are trashcans and even portable campfire system to get rid of things that you can't sell or use.

The staff is aware of this issue and I've been looking at changing a few things about the auction to prevent this sort of thing from happening.

You make it were you can only sell items a vendor vaules at 500 gold or higher, but hp increasing items would get the shaft.

The thing that bugs me are the people who sell the items there with spell resistance for around 10000 gold. Since Spell resistance items are bugged, it always feels like they're trying to pull a fast one on newbies. (This is of course except for the lesser amulet of the master, as that has a bunch of skill bonuses on top of its SR bonus)

Mind you some might not -know- about the bugged SR but yes, there's others who try to rip people off.

Spell resistance items are bugged? o_o
I've never known because as a Monk I've always had natural spell resistance, but I have sold a few spell resistance items.

Yes. Spell resistance items give you the SR until you're hit with one spell. That one spell knocks your SR back to zero until you re-equip the item.

There is a fix out there for the Spell Resistance issue.
