(I)“Are we being paid for this?” The cat perched on the desk, paws curled under its body. It was the only place in Krag Keillyn could find with a desk and a chalkboard that wasn’t behind a lock door…there were a lot of locked doors about this place. Personally, she’d just turn tail and let the zhents fade back into obscurity with their many locks, but that was a little beyond her control at the moment. Keillyn simply made due with what she had.

“Yes.” Keillyn answered as she opened a thickly bound book in one hand, picking up a piece of chalk in another. She began writing in a thin, neat cursive she wrote the infernal alphabet across the top of the board, and a list of accents down the side.

(I)“Are they late?”

“No. I told them both at the top of the hour.” Keillyn said without looking up from her work, writing out a small paragraph on the left side of the board. Her hand-writing quick but methodically well-written. She spent the last few minutes waiting for her students by checking to see if she brought everything with her. The cat sat quietly, watching the door.

Sion as a creature of habit, albeit a fickle and ever changing habit, preferred to synergies his activities. A trip to Krag meant some serious money for the elvish hunter, the fur starved fashion forward zhentarim and company would pay handsomely for his wares that were harvested from a local and undisclosed location.

But this was an auxiliary task to why he was there, to learn, from the neatest and sharpest person he had ever met, the tongue of devils. He could speak a number of languages a hundred years on the hunt across Faerun would teach you that; but, he had never had the pleasure of learning the infernal speak.

After selling his fur in the market, and harassing an old man with his savage nature, he would knock lightly on the door, arhythmically. Sion grinned in anticipation of the response. He held in his hand a bright red apple, a gift for his kindly teacher, after all they do say an apple a day keeps the devils away.

Malkaris in his typical devil-may-care attitude, glides up to the door with a dark and unnatural grace about him, and enters, a playful smile on his face as he eyes Kei from a distance. His dark armor is oiled and lighter than usual plate as it's made of mithril, and probably despair-ridden tears of gods know what, so there's not too much noise, only the fluttering of his cape as he walks in.

"Fancy meeting you here. So... what's next?"

Keillyn answered the door to Sion. The apple made her pause, and she wasn't entirely certain what to do about it. She compromised in taking it, but looking dispassionate in doing so.

"Thank you, if you will have a se-" She was interrupted by Malkaris shoving his way through. She paused, looked back to Sion and motioned for him to have a seat.

"what is 'next' is you have a seat." She said, walking to the desk. She placed the apple down on it, and the cat leaned in to look it over. "And then after that, hopefully you learn something. Though your technically ahead of Sion in the very basics...So I expect you to be able to do more." Keillyn raised her brows at him.

"Indeed." Malkaris sticks his tongue out at the cat as he sits.

The Elf grinned wide, at all three, Kei and Malkaris then the cat. "You would be surprise, I am a fast learner." he takes his seat waiting for the lessons to begin.

Keillyn slid a book in front of them both, they were well worn dictionaries. One of them had notes written on the side, probably her own at one time in her studies, and the other had someone else’s handwriting.

“Before we begin, I would like to point out…that infernal is not a language developed for mortal kind. It will probably take years before you stop sounding like you shoved a potato in your mouth. Do not become too frustrated, it is normal to be absolutely terrible.”

She walked back to the desk and crossed her arms loosely. “Now, repeat after me...”

Keillyn began to step them through the alphabet, she pronounced the sounds slowly. The cat perched on the desk listening, it's eyes narrow at Malkaris as he stuck his tongue out at it. It's attention pulled to the apple sitting next to it with a curious if not hungry look.

The elf grins wide as always, doing EXACTLY as instructed, with the occasional glance and smile at the cat.
