A rope tied around this mans chest is hoisting him in a tree, battered and beaten he dangles within the tree's. Anyone walking the road would have direct eye view from the road. The man is alive but may not be if he isn't treated within a few hours of him being hung. Footsteps would seem purposely retreated to the south.

(those with survival would find a separate pare of tracks heading back towards the north in the direction of crossroads.)

On his way back from the Academy, Alexander spots the form in the tree, as it sways in the wind. He trudges along and cuts down the body, with the help of Ving Goodman. Together the two lower down the man, with a certain carefulness to their action. Afterall, the man was still alive. Alexander, being the much stronger one of the two, carries the man towards town with haste.

The two make it towards the Chauntean temple, where they speak with the Watchful Sister Anna.

The man is recognized as Eliseth Rogir, one of the Black Hound mercenaries.

Zii would be there to watch Alexander carry the man. Recognizing Eliseth, the little halfling immediately offers her own medical expertise - and she doesn't even ask permission as she casts a few regenerative charms!

Being the self-proclaimed best damned healer in the world, Zii would also follow them into the temple. She doesn't interrupt or intrude, but her attention is almost solely rooted on the man's wounds. "Pardon, excuse me, let me reach him..."

He seems to be welcoming to all forms of help, trying to bring the man to a better health. However, he seems at the mercy of the Watchful Sister, as he allows her to do whatever she can/must.

After a while, and after the Watchful Sister and the others had done their part to stabilize him, Eli would begin to come around. His breathing evening out and his eyes opening, though he would quickly close them again against the light.

"Ugh...where'm I?" He'd mumble.

"Ye are in the temple of Chauntea, lad." Alexander says quietly. "Ye ehh... ye weren't lookin' too great, to be honest. Found ye. . . hangin'. .. about."

"Are ye alright? Ye should get some rest, then come chat with me after."
