Ordered by Bryanna, Laura ventures to Freehaven with an escort(s) to scout the need for evacuation assistance. Her first stop is to contact anyone who is currently working with refugees and their efforts to get out of the city. Asking the townsfolk and merchant or two, who she should be seeking out.

With some groups of refugees Ticla is seen, very likely with several other human slaves tending to the refugees, handing out blankets or providing food for those in need. While her look is bewildered, and hair a dusty mess, Ticla would greet Laura with the uttermost respect.

Showing where the refugees are that want to leave, Ticla continiues her tasks until commanded otherwise.

"Miss Ticla!" Laura smiles, happy to see a familiar face. Her smile fades however as she begins to catch on Ticla isn't just here for the sake of good will. She doesn't encroach much on the subject beyond friendly and warm. "Thank you very much. Is there any officials I should speak to?...Do you want to leave as well? I'm certain we can arrange that. Mark will probably be with me here shortly. He'll be happy to see you."

Laura looks over the refugees and takes a quick head count.

"I have help. They will be here soon as well. I just wanted to know what we were going to be handling before I had everyone uproot to Freehaven. This place looks like a good meeting area. We shall set up our base here, and begin as soon as we can."

Ticla shows an expression of relief as an option to leave is offered by Laura, though it's half conceiled by the two long hairloks that fall before her cheeks.

"The ones you will need to.. talk too are the Wakeen Temple Magistrates, or representatives of the Red Wizards.." Ticla nearly whispers to Laura in a rather nervous tone, especially when she mentions the Thayans, or Red Wizards in specific.

"But I must warn you Lady Laura.." The slavegirl of Freehaven urges, "The Magistrates especially, they seem more occupied with the defence of the settlement.. not so much the evacuation of refugees. And what of the slaves, I have not heared if we are even allowed out, let alone be evacuated.."

Ticla releases a sad sigh, and remains with the refugees.

//please dont assume refugees exist where i didnt mention that yet. please read the Panic in Freehaven thread. There is no refugee wave yet at all, People still are in their homes. Only a small handful has already left. So far very few are willing to give up their businesses and homes.

Laura and Ticla would find very few people willing to leave the free town yet. Most People living here are involved in businesses that are not respected very well in other parts of the dales and are loathe to give everything up. Even those who are already packing their belongings are not ready to go yet. When People find out where Laura is from and where she wants to take them, they wave her off.

"Why do we want to go to the selfrightous worm infested people in Shadowdale?"

"If i´ll go there i´ll have to flee again next month when the Zhents come rolling in. Of all i heard they are already amassing their Forces up that shitty mountain"

"I´d rather go to Cormyr and get jailed!"

"Why go there? They hate us Freehaveners there for how we earn our living!"

are the comments they would hear from the locals.

The few people who are ready to leave yet are talking mostly to some dwarf who seems to arrange some Transportation for them..

"If ye want to help, kill those undead"

"Talk to the Red Wizards and Waukeenar"

Mark would be at Laura's side whenever possible being quiet since he doesn't have anything to add.

((I'm sorry, I was under the impression there were scores of them. Hence the separate thread.))

Laura answers what she can, but she keeps the answers brief.

"Miss Bryanna has arranged for the Dancing Moon to take those who want to flee. It wouldn't be an evacuation into Shadowdale."

"I haven't heard anything about the Zhents but...that certainly is a possibility I guess."

Laura looks to Ticla with and a shrug of her shoulders. "I'm glad I came down here quietly without everyone else. My original plan was just to...see...what was needed. Though I got a bit carried away, I guess. However it seems your good dwarf is doing a great job as is from what I hear. It might be better for him to handle this. I was originally given the mission because I come down here from time to time to bring food. Freehaven and Shadowdale don't really see eye to eye often. Things are done....differently."

"I'll return home with the news, and see what Miss Bryanna would like me to do. I guess there is still the matter with you Miss Ticla. What will you do?"

Ticla returns a nervous smile back.

"What I will do.. lies in the hands of others I fear. Yet I would go away from this place so surrounded by Undead, and Drow in the hollow. But I doubt they let me go, or offer me a choice."

She opens her hand. Yet slightly trembling, it reveals a Diamond and Ticla offers it to Laura.

"No doubt you shall be aiding those facing the Undead threat above.. please accept my humble offering of this stone I mined. It is the best a slave like me can do right now. But I rather have that you have it Lady Laura, than a greedy merchant here.."

Ticla's last words were almost whispering, yet she manages to find the bravery to speak those words and the choice of her own will to offer the Diamond to Laura.

(i'll give the diamond ingame if Laura accepts)
