The sound of hoofbeats was hard to hear at first, the distant source being no match for the cacophony brought fourth by the pouring rain.
Next came the clanking of steel, the ringing growing more evident as the rider galloped ever closer.
Tired as they were, however, it was not until the mists parted around the horseman that the men at the foot of the tower noticed it was coming.

The horse was reined in, the gilded wings of the purple dragon engraved on its white armor giving off a final chime as it came to a halt. Slowly, the rider descended, face hidden behind the cowl of a red traveling cloak.
No pleasantries were exchanged, only papers, bearing the seals of one high ranking official or another, and questions - so many that by the time the rider had climbed the horse oncemore, the guards were yet more tired than when it first arrived.

As the horse picked up the pace and the rains subsided, the rider's hand moved to pull back the cowl at last, revealing a blonde mane and thin red lips which were already moving as her gaze took in the town at last: "I'm back"

Mara takes the papers looking them over, not recognizing the rider. As the sheriff she would take them to the council.

The bundles of papers consists of three scrolls:

- An adventurer's charter, marked with the royal seal of Cormyr.
- A scroll bearing a watermark in the shape of a shield with a purple dragon facing dexter and indicating the bearer is on leave, with numerous conditions and staples pertaining to the validity of the paper and indicating the details of the ranking individual who had issued it.
- A writ from the Citadel of Strategic Militancy, identifying the bearer as a member of the Order of the Red Falcon.

No noteworthy news can be gleaned from any of the papers save for perhaps minor details about the location of a Purple Dragon Knight command post from the 2nd one.
The rider would be unwilling to part with the papers after showing them.

Mara being a priestess of the Red Knight would look to the rider inquiring to the paper with the Citadel of Strategic Militancy mark on it.

The rider would explain that she has come to witness with her own eyes the news that had traveled to her land, but would be reluctant to discuss the specific nature of the news with any of the town guards.

She would procure her horsehead medallion if needed and recite the prayers if the papers were not enough to show her affiliation. She would however mention that her reason for a visit in the land is foremost a private one, and not some task appointed by the Citadel.
It would become clear quite quickly during the discussion that she suffers from a heavy stutter.

Edit: All three scrolls no doubt contain the details of the bearer as well.
